Summary:

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the efficient day to day carrying out of aircraft repair and maintenance tasks as directed by the Director of Maintenance or delegate.

QUALITY, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT:

• Ensure maintenance tasks carried out comply with company policies and procedures and the CAAP civil aviation regulatory requirements
• Provide inputs and responses to audit findings of internal and external audits
• Implement remedial and corrective actions against audit findings and corrective action requests
• Contribute to the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement of the MRO facilities
• Actively participate, comply with and promote Company OH&S and Environment programs and Aviation Safety Management System

Operations

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all Airworthiness Directives', Service Bulletins' etc. prior to the expiry of compliance and relevant to the aircraft
• Carry out inspection and maintenance coordination and certification
• Ensure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components and parts used during servicing or maintenance are accompanying the respective worksheet/work package
• Ensure FOD control procedures and OH&S requirements are adhered to
• Ensure GSE is serviceable and report any defects or deficiencies
• Ensure data used are current and applicable
• Complete service reports as required
• Ensure tool control requirements are adhered to
• Work with the safety and compliance manager in the maintenance of Quality and Aviation Safety responsibilities including participation in audits, technical investigations as it applies to "Human Factors in Maintenance"
• Assist with defect analysis and investigations
• Carry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspection, aircraft towing and repositioning, aircraft refuelling, aircraft marshalling
• Comply with the requirements of attaining and maintaining security clearances as required

KEY CHALLENGES (& CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS):

• Knowledge of Company policies and procedures, as well as CAAP airworthiness and safety related policies and issues.
• Detailed recording and maintenance of aircraft data
• Efficient and early generation of work packs and supporting documents to allow a smooth flow of work
• Determination to support Senior Aircraft Mechanics, Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager and MRO Planners meet budgets and delivery schedules

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Licensed A&P maintenance experience
• Experience in the business/corporate aviation industry
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance
• Sound knowledge of CAAP regulations
• Experience with King Air 90/200/300 series and/or Cessna Caravan 208 aircraft advantageous
